Story & art: Blaren The last of the three deputy strips is a solid demonstration that you don't need fancy lineart and color shading to tell a good joke. When it first appeared in Fenix it was presented in ⅔ size, which did look kind of small, for technical reasons. It wasn't seen full-sized until it got reprinted in Bernard's compilation book seven years later. Blaren has worked as a regular cartoonist for the Swedish magazines Codex and Widescreen among other things. Although a fine strip maker, most of his published works have been in one-panel format. He's the guy with the glasses; he often inserts himself into his pieces.
